Fabrication numbers

You can find the fabrication number on the ovale plate on the right side in the engine bay.

The top number (1) is the model code
The bottom number (3) is fabrication number.

In the table below you should look for the last fabrication number lower or equal to your own, in the correct column, then you will find the year model your car have.
Note that Renault normally changed year model in August/September. Hence a car made in October 1972 is a model 1973

R1150 = De Luxe/Grand Luxe/Super
R1151 = TS
R1152 = USA model 1968-1972, TL 67hp 1970-1980
R1153 = TA/TL automatic 1565cc
R1154 = TS automatic
R1155 = TL automatic 1647cc
R1156 = TX, but was also marked TL and TS for Swedish market
R1157 = TL 55hp for low octane fuel
